Podqi — Enforcement Data Privacy Notice
Last updated: July 7th, 2026
This notice explains how Podqi, Inc. (“Podqi,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data about sellers, merchants, and alleged infringers that we collect when providing intellectual-property monitoring and enforcement services to our customers.
It does not cover visitors to our websites (see our main Privacy Policy) or our customers’ own users.
Who is responsible
Podqi is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: admin@podqi.com · 2181 Greenwich Street, San Francisco, CA 94123.
What we collect
In the course of enforcement, we may collect: names; business and contact details (email, phone, addresses); seller/storefront identifiers; listing, product, and pricing information; and related evidence of potential infringement.
We do not seek to collect special-category data.
Where we get it
We collect this data indirectly — from publicly accessible sources such as online marketplaces, websites, domains, app stores, and social platforms. We generally do not collect it from you directly.
Why we process it, and our legal basis
We process this data to detect, document, and act on potential infringement of our customers’ trademarks and other IP — including preparing evidence and issuing takedown notices.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interests (and those of the rights holders we act for) in protecting intellectual property and in the establishment, exercise, and defense of legal claims. We do not rely on your consent.
Who we share it with
The rights holder whose IP is affected, and its legal counsel;
Online platforms, marketplaces, hosting providers, and registrars, to process takedown or enforcement requests;
Our service providers who help operate the platform;
Authorities or others where required by law or to protect legal rights.
How long we keep it
We keep this data for as long as needed for the enforcement purpose and any related legal claims, and we may retain it to identify repeat infringers across matters. Retention is not tied to any single customer relationship.
International transfers
Podqi is based in the United States. Where data is transferred from the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request details at admin@podqi.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because we process this data for IP enforcement and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, some of these rights are limited and we may decline a request where an exemption applies. To make a request, contact admin@podqi.com.
Why you may be hearing from us this way
We collect this data from third-party sources rather than from you directly. Providing individual notice to each person is often impossible or would involve disproportionate effort, and direct notice could undermine the enforcement purpose. This published notice is how we provide transparency in those circumstances, consistent with Article 14(5) of the GDPR.
Changes
We will post updates to this notice on this page, effective when posted.
